Big Sur, California is one of my favorite places to shoot an elopement. It has the most stunning coastline, with one of my favorite beaches to stop off at. Here is a super fun elopement idea if you are looking for adventure + epic views + within the U.S.
Rent a car, drive along the coast on Highway 1- you can start in Monterey, CA and drive south. Enjoy the views while driving towards Pfeiffer Beach in Big Sur- you can stop off to take photos in scenic pull-off spots all the way down Highway 1. Once you get to the parking lot at Pfeiffer Beach, you can plan to explore around that beach area until sunset. There are rocky cliffs to climb around on, a beach to take a walk on, and more cliffs to explore. It’s an amazing location where it has a little Mountains + Ocean feeling all in one!
